THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO 100 years of Picasso exhibit out of home campaign

The campaign touted The Art Institute of Chicago’s (AIC) exhibit “Picasso and Chicago, ” a show celebrating the 100 year history of the relationship between this famous painter and the city. My role as Design Director included art direction and expanding key design elements of the campaign to various out-of-home media formats including posters, banners, a bus wrap, and finally 10’ typographic letters set in front of the Chicago’s very own public Picasso sculpture.

The campaign also had a social element capitalizing on the overwhelming excitement over the Daley Plaza letters. AIC encouraged social media sharing by running a contest for an opportunity to win free tickets to the exhibit by using the hashtag #gopicasso.
